It is normal finding the physical store of Nuria Cobo, located in Méndez Núñez Street in Seville,  completely filled with ladies choosing shoes. But it is already becoming something usual to receive followers from the legion of faithful people from her videos, which since last October she has been sharing in youtube (  www.youtube.com) and are having a great success. They want to meet her, besides of buying her new pieces.

There were for instance Marga, Alicia and Elisa, three friends from Soria who had «got lost» from the group to meet Nuria Cobo live and in person. «In person she is taller and thiner», they say while they try sandals. But people have come from Mexico too, and Miami, Colombia and even the other day a lady from Valladolid came to say hello when she was coming back from “The Rocío”, in despite of the bypass and husband’s anger.

«I have followers even in Japan, who wrote me and congratulate me. And the online (www.nuriacobo.com) sales have increased in The Netherlands, Portugal, United States  (more specifically in Alaska and Philadelphia), Australia and France. The secret of my success? The ease and the fact that it is all true, in a time when socialmedia has lost credibility. It is curious but for my part my age has a good role to play.

«Women older than forty are the forsaken ones of fashion world when, ironically, they are the biggest consumers. With my videos I put fashion into practice, I make it useful and real. It is what I always have been doing in my shop. I take the pieces of advice from observation. I have spent years watching women and the experience counts. My followers, a very faithful audience, see themselves reflected on me, they value my sense of humour and my closeness».

Nuria Cobo coulnd’t imagine the importance that her videos were going to have, neither that the pieces that she shows in the videos were going to be sold out so quickly. «I am a shoemaker, businesswoman and now a communicator who uses the social network to get closer to her customers and making them know what I do. What thrills me the most is that they say that with my videos they relax and evade, besides of helping them to be well dressing up daily».

But Nuria Cobo doesn’t forget about Lola Rodríguez Suárez, the video editor. «She is the main technical support but also carries my sense of humour to the edition. She knows what I’m talking about because she is part of my team. She knows how to remain in a second level and knows the media perfectly because she is a journalist». Don’t you feel like now you also want to meet Nuria Cobo in person?
