Fran Cisneros (www.francisneros.com) was born as a perfectionist. Moreover, he is one of those perfectionists who gives soul, heart and life to each job assigned to him. That’s why people then spend days drooling and reminding his last achievement. He has not only educational background (he studied Enviromental Studies in the University of Seville) and a company, Arte del Campo y Paisajismo, but also a long professional journey. These journeys truly vouch for you.
He made his first landscaping studies ten years ago for the Hydrographic Conference of the Tajo, after he had transmitted his knowledge as a professor. Later, he moved to Beijing to work on the Gobi desert repopulation Project. Because to Fran Cisneros landscaping involves not only the enviromental part, but also the sociological, economic and cultural one from an area or zone.
“It is about interpreting nature, counting on these factors. Having a conexion between man and nature and the way of materialize it is using native plants, obtaining the benefit for the fauna and the rest of the flora, but also for men. The goal is to generate wealth: agricultural and farmer use, major and minor haunting…”
“A landscaper (adds Fran Cisneros) is not a gardener although he has to keep in mind gardener’s wisdom. Like the landscaper, he has to count on a series of enviromental and sociological issues, that’s the way a gardener has to act. The landscaper has a little bigger formation, but the garden is still an interpretation from landscape and landscaping”.
It is sure that many of the readers of this article have seen some of the many Fran Cisneros pieces, mainly those special wedding scenes, fashion shows, suppers… He says that he develops his more creative part in the scenography, because there is no guideliness. However, he is also in his element when he is assigned to organize a garden. Then, his enthusiasm is contagious.
“The first step is knowing how my client lives, if there are books, kids and animales in the house. With that information the job is easier. The last step is to see the area where I’m going to work. Contrasts are important. There has to be a seasonality, because it makes the garden being alive. Deciduous plants, seasonal flowers and, in addition, the chance to let the client work on his own garden”. This is how Fran Cisneros is, a landscaper faithful to his principles.
