In Seville there are some designers who are true referents in the world of brides. One of them is Paloma Cerezal. For sixteen years she has been doing the most important dress in the life of a woman (even if she marries more than once, what can we do) and her opinion matters. It matters not just because her excelent couture is the brand of the House, but also because she has gotten the trust of entire families through her hard work.
We are in her atelier in Plaza de la Concordia, number 3 (phone number 954 22 51 09) and she touched tells me that she has sewed the bride dress to third sisters. But also tells me how in her background years she has moved from that girl who came with a fixed idea of the chosen dress which she had dreamt with since she was little to the overflow of information due to the social networks.
Social networks have influenced young women in the time of choosing her D-Day dress. Before, the Special Telva Brides was waited like a breath of fresh air, but now there is a continous bombardment in the specialized blogs which have rested power to the traditional publications of the sector because of their immediacy, gratuity, graphic display and ease in the public’s access.
It is true that there have always been trends in bride dresses. However, according to Paloma Cerezal, (www.facebook.com/paloma.cerezal?fref=ts) girls are innovating even in tissues and allowing theirselves to be led by their criteria, «although another of my missions is to enhance the personality of each one in that big day, and fortunately all of them end very pleased».
Paloma says that the dress has to be ordered with eight months in advance and that accessories are already essential. «Wax crowns mixed with pastel colours give lightness to the face. I like those made by Lupe de la Villa and Patricia Buffuna«. But in her atelier dresses for godmothers and brides and grooms sisters are also sewed, with bright and vivid colours. «Nude is for accessories».
When Paloma Cerezal takes stock of her almost twenty years in her career, she says that the best of everything has been following the patterns of the saga to what she belongs. And that «always that I’m mencioned, they refer to my good couture. That makes my hair stand on end. What I would give to make my father listen it». The worst thing, like every woman: «to conciliate my family life with my job, which is my great passion».
